About Espresso

Espresso is prepared by forcing hot water through finely ground dark-roast coffee beans. Think of it is strong, concentrated coffee. You can add extra ’shots’ of espresso to make your drink stronger.

Our Coffee.........all 100% Arabica Beans!

The Hazelnut Tree chooses only "small batch" roasteries as a source for our gourmet coffee.  Every order we place with the roaster is sent out within 24 hours of roasting, and we receive our bean shipments the following day.  This means that you, our customer, receive the freshest coffee possible!

Regular Blends, Flavored Coffees, and Decaffeinated Coffees:

        $9.00 per pound, $4.50 per 1/2 pound, and $2.25 per 1/4         pound.

Espresso and Decaffeinated Espresso:

        $12.00 per pound, $6.00 per 1/2 pound, and $3.00 per             1/4     pound.

REGULAR BLENDS:

Campfire Roast - Our most popular roast! This blend of coffee possesses a smooth, solid body with the richness of Costa Rican, the unique smoky flavor of Guatemalan, and the earthy, heavy body of  Sumatra.  Close your eyes and you can almost taste coffee perked over the campfire on a brisk morning.

Scandinavian Blend - This blend of Medium Roast and French Roast coffees produces a flavor all it's own with the body, acidity, richness, and the bittersweet tang of a dark roast, yet the smooth finish of medium roast.

      Woods & Water - This blend of Colombian, Sumatra, and Hawaiian beans
      produces a slightly smokey, balanced cup of coffee.

      Vienna Roast Colombian - Vienna roasted, medium bodied, with a                     chocolate-like, smooth finish.

Cameroon Washed Caplami Java - A very interesting African coffee from a unique origin.  A spicy, slightly floral aroma, with delicious hints of citrus and mint.

Angry Bull - FAIR TRADE & ORGANIC!  A very complex cup consisting of a three-bean blend, primarily Indonesian.  Sweet and spicy, earthy and clean.  Bright, full bodied and amazingly balanced.

Red Sombrero - FAIR TRADE & ORGANIC!  This light French Roast is a  four-bean blend consisting mainly of South American and African beans.  Intense and robust body.  Muted acidity with a bold, creamy finish.  Hints of dried fruit in the aroma.  A fantastic dark roast.

Matador Blend - Rich, creamy and nutty.  This Full City roast also works very well as an espresso grind.

Papua New Guinea - A sensational Vienna roast Indonesian coffee that produces a very complex cup.  Floral and citrus tones dominate with a caramel finish amidst an acidic tang.

Buon Gusto Espresso Blend - A well-kept secret of blended perfection with an unmatched flavor profile and outstanding crema. Roasted, packaged, and vacuum sealed in Italy.

FLAVORED COFFEES:

Jazzy Java - Privately selected Costa Rican beans roasted to perfection and flavored with the jazzy blend of Cinnamon and Hazelnut with  an added touch of Rum!  Our most popular flavor!

Turtle Sundae - Ultra rich chocolate, velvety smooth caramel, and warm toasted pecans combine with Arabica coffee for a scrumptious treat.

Cinn Ful Nut - The perfect balance of pleasantly spicy cinnamon, toasted hazelnuts and the wonderful creamy flavor of vanilla combine with Arabica coffee to create one of our favorite flavored coffees.

Cinnamon Blueberry Crumble - The flavor of lightly spiced butter cream pastry infused with the juicy, summer ripe essence of blueberries folded into our fine coffee.

Almond Amaretto- THe toasty essence of fresh roasted Jordan almonds infused with sweet, succulent almond liqueur.

Delightful Pumpkin Pie - Like a slice of your favorite holiday pie in a cup!

Hazelnut Creme - Flavored with the nutty essence of toasted Oregon hazelnuts infused with the silky smooth and butery flavor of Tahitian vanilla.

Caramel Kiss - Flavored with the creamy, toasty, buttery rich flavor of caramel to create a taste sensation in a cup.  Delightfully luscious!
